These sessions are designed to provide valuable insights and practical strategies for addressing microaggressions within educational settings. Drs. Skelton and Payno-Simmons will facilitate both days. We aim to provide dynamic and interactive sessions to engage participants deeply and foster meaningful discussions.

  • Describe what it means to be a critically conscious School Board. 
  • Understand critical empathy in relation to power dynamics in educational spaces.
  • Explain the impact of microaggressions on minoritized students and educators in the school community.
  • Use the 3-Step Micro-interventions to detect and disrupt microaggressions on minoritized students and educators in the school community.
