Being an equity-focused educator can be tough in today’s world. There are hurdles at almost every turn, from the classroom to the teacher’s lounge to the statehouse. Preservice teachers need to be prepared to meet these challenges. This Virtual Coffeehouse will bring together a diverse group of educators to discuss what equity-focused learning current preservice teachers have and what can be done to support them in an ever-changing world.

Community Alliances for Equity are various equity engagement network formats all aimed at collectively centering the expertise and assets of community members, classroom teachers, and parents/caregivers as central collaboratively supporting school district’s equity-driven efforts.

Note: This event is only open to individuals from education systems, school boards, state municipalities, school districts, or other governmental units legally responsible for operating a public school or schools, or from a federally funded technical assistance and dissemination center.
