Partner in Practice: Our Equity Journey - Minnesota Department of Education

Partners in Practice TA Collaboratives (Collaboratives) are virtual equity network learning convenings that bring together past and present K-12 partners to plan and deliver practical strategies responsive to urgent equity practice issues.
During this Partners in Practice event, our guest agency - the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) - will discuss their equity journey, how they have leveraged their partnership with the MAP Center, and include key insights that strengthened their work and strategic approaches to more authentically advance equity-oriented systems change. Guest speakers include:
- Dr. Michael Rice, Michigan State Superintendent
- Dr. Delsa Chapman, Deputy Superintendent, Division of Assessment, School Improvement, and Systems Support
- Dr. Corinne Edwards, Director, Office of Educational Supports
- Dr. Rané Garcia, Director, Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Note: This event is only open to individuals from school boards, state municipalities, school districts, or other governmental units legally responsible for operating a public school or schools, or from a federally funded technical assistance and dissemination center.
