Recent reports shed a stark light on the worsening mental health crisis for girls, especially at the intersections of sexuality, gender identity, race, and ability.

During this half-day professional learning session, educators will explore pressing issues in creating safe and inclusive schooling for girls through an intersectional lens. Topics will include disproportionality in special education services and discipline referrals, mental health considerations, and the role of Title IX and other civil rights protections. Participants will gain the knowledge, skills, and support to develop equity-focused practices and plans to support all girls in a safe and inclusive environment.

Registration for this event has ended.

Note: This event is open to individuals from school boards, state municipalities, school districts, or other governmental units legally responsible for operating a public school or schools, or from a federally funded technical assistance and dissemination center.
