Encore: Utilizing Critical Literacy Strategies in Mathematics Instruction

In this webinar, approaches to cultivating critical mathematics literacy in classroom instruction are discussed. Specifically, this session focuses on: 1) how educators can ensure that mathematics instruction is inclusive of the cultural histories and community practices of ALL students, with emphasis on students from historically under-represented communities, and 2) how to position students to identify as math doers, and use mathematics literacy for social change.
