This half-day virtual learning experience provides an opportunity for participants to engage in shared learning about the ways social media impacts girls' mental health, with a focus on how intersecting identities—such as race, socioeconomic status, and gender expression—shape their experiences and challenges. The session will address the unique pressures young girls face, from self-image and relational dynamics to academic engagement, and explore systemic barriers that exacerbate these challenges. Participants will gain research-based insights and equity-centered strategies to foster environments that support girls’ holistic well-being, resilience, and empowerment within and beyond the classroom.

Note: This event is only open to individuals from school boards, state municipalities, school districts, or other governmental units legally responsible for operating a public school or schools, or from a federally funded technical assistance and dissemination center.
