World Cafe: Students as Leaders for Belonging is an empowering event that brings together K-12 educators, trusted adults, and students to build safer, more welcoming, and just school communities. With a focus on uplifting underrepresented student leaders, this learning experience helps participants identify and address challenges to fostering belonging through proactive solutions and intervention strategies. Using Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR), students lead efforts to raise awareness and tackle barriers to fairness, supported by educators dedicated to meaningful, student-driven change. The event promotes respectful dialogue and a culture where every student feels valued and supported.

Note: This event is only open to individuals (educators and students) from school boards, state municipalities, school districts, or other governmental units legally responsible for operating a public school or schools or from a federally funded technical assistance and dissemination center.
