The purpose of this Equity by Design brief is to review research regarding LGBTQ+ youth, schools, and rural contexts in North America, primarily the United States; the issues and concerns they face in schools and their communities; how they are affected by these issues; and what schools are doing to support rural LGBTQ+ youth.
