The purpose of this Equity Tool is to support educational practitioners in understanding how laws protect the safety and security of learning environments for students. Concurrently, this resource affirms the various identities of individuals by providing relevant information on how laws provide protection for students who are susceptible to being marginalized because of their race, national origin, sex, religion, sexual orientation, etc.
