This edition of the Equity Dispatch explores how linguistically diverse learners bring valuable assets to our school communities and are capable of high achievement with the proper support. Structuring our systems – whether through the support of dual immersion programs at the state-level policy or through changes to policy and practice that recognize the value of students’ heritage languages to recognize and use these assets is an important step toward ensuring all students succeed in school and life.
