This edition of the Equity Dispatch states that radical transformation of school spaces by and with immigrant families will require educators to commit to relationship building. This, in turn, entails recognizing the multiple ways in which we are all constrained by our identities and are “yearning to breathe free.” Once we have recognized this, we can write new rules for citizenship and opportunity that recognize the dignity and value of each person.
