The Tier III Systemic Equity Partnerships is the most intensive tier of technical assistance offered by the MAP Center and designed specifically for education agencies desiring to take part in comprehensive, transformative equity-focused work. The Systemic Equity Partnerships tier requires partnering districts or state education agencies to engage in a year-and-a-half commitment with the center. During this time tier III partners, participate in customized professional learning experiences uniquely designed to support equity-focused systems improvements, participate in regularly scheduled collaborative coaching sessions with a highly skilled technical assistance specialist, and complete continuous improvement inquiry activities.
Partnering Tier III Districts and State Education Agencies Must
- Make an 18-month commitment to a systemic equity partnership with the MAP Center via a signed MOU
- Designate a person to be the equity liaison to the MAP Center
- Create an Equity Leadership Team to guide equity action planning and implementation
- Designate Equity Leadership Team members to participate in regularly scheduled collaborative consultation calls with the assigned MAP Center technical assistance specialist
- Participate in the Equity-Oriented Strategic Planning partnership academy
- Participate in the Centering Equity in Professional Development and Capacity Building Planning partnership academy
- Participate in the Monitoring and Evaluating Equity-Focused Initiatives partnership academy
- Engage in strategic planning data collection and analysis activities.
- Complete center evaluation activities.

- Access to Customized Password Protected Document Sharing Web-based Platform
*There is no registration fee for participation in partnership academies, however, Tier III partners are responsible to pay for all expenses related to their travel including airfare, lodging, local travel, and meals associated with attending any and all in-person professional learning experiences including tier III required partnership academies.

Our goal
It is our goal that all Systemic Equity Partners will conclude their tier III partnership with the MAP Center effectively positioned to address context-driven and data-informed equity strategic priorities and have a plan in place to sustain and advance their identified equity strategies. In addition, partners will have advanced in their capacity to address current equity-related problems of practice and be prepared to tackle future equity-related issues.
