Virtual World Café, entitled (Re)claim, (Re)vitalize, (Re)imagine, and (Re)commit to Intersectional Anti-Racist Coalitions toward Education Justice for All
The Virtual World Café, (Re)claim, (Re)vitalize, (Re)imagine, and (Re)commit to Intersectional Anti-Racist Coalitions toward Education Justice for All will bring together representatives of social and education justice organizations, as well as state and school district leaders from across the center's 13-state region. The purpose of this event is to create an opportunity for education justice-minded practitioners, scholars, and activists to expand networks and create alliances for advancing an intersectional anti-racist agenda toward realizing education justice for all.
The World Café will include two rounds of 20-minute panels presentations and breakout rooms--café tables for focused discussion among participants to dive deeper into important points discussed during the panel presentations. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and explore implications for practice and coalition building. The topic of this World Café is especially crucial given systematic attempts to derail equity-focused education work across states, despite continued evidence of systemic discrimination related to student race, sex, national origin, religion, disability, and other identities. Please join us for this very important conversation and the opportunity to make connections with community organizations, scholars, and other local and state education agencies committed to ensuring education justice for all students.
